Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by performing a wide range of accounting activities. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, assisting in the year-end audit process, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Accounting Activities: Execute daily accounting tasks efficiently, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Month-End Close Tasks: Prepare and post journal entries for the monthly close process, contributing to the timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Year-End Audit Assistance: Collaborate with auditors during the year-end audit process, providing documentation and support as needed.
  • Monthly Reconciliations: Perform monthly account reconciliations, proactively identifying discrepancies and effectively communicating findings to upper management and vendors. Calculate monthly payments to manufacturers, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Continuously evaluate accounting processes and identify areas for improvement and automation, streamlining workflows for increased efficiency.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Willingly take on and excel in any ad-hoc projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the finance team and the organization.

Critical Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Similar Program: Possess a degree in Accounting or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Minimum 2 Years Applicable Experience: Have at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite or Oracle ERP Systems (a plus): Familiarity with NetSuite or other Oracle ERP systems is advantageous, though not mandatory.
